Back to School

Summer vacation is over and for some reason it seems to me like this summer past faster than usual.
My kids has returned to school  this monday and like every year I photograph them on the first day, it's so amazing to see how fast they grew and how big they are. my oldest is in ninth grade, my daughter going for the first time to junior high school in the seventh grade and my youngest son starting his first year in kindergarten.

Making cookies

There's nothing kids love more than cookies, especially homemade cookies with a Winnie the Pooh, Hello Kitty and Mickey Mouse characters.
So today after two weeks of waiting I got my pack in the mail contains those sweet cookie cutters with my son favorite characters.

My 3 years old son and I washed our hands and got started working on making some fun cookies together!
Here is the simple recipe that I have used for making the dough :
4 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup oil
4 eggs
Put the mixture into dough, roll out on floured work surface, cut into shapes.
bake at 180 degrees for about 10 minutes

My son got all busy in the hard work I gave him and start catting shapes with our new cutters
he was so excited when he saw Mickey Mouse on the cookie he'd just cut

My son got tired after filled an entire tray and went to rest in front of the TV with Sponge Bob waiting for his cookies and milk and I ended up with four trays of sweet cookies

Pinterest finds - Nail Art

I love everything about painting on nails, although it's very hard for me to paint with my left hand and my nail polish always came down too quickly because of the housework but still I love to collect unique ideas and I'm trying every week at least one new design on my nails.

My little juggler

Occasionally the teacher in my son's kindergarten updates pictures on Facebook and share what the children did in the fast week.  Between the images that the teacher shared this week I found this picture of my 3 years old son ... I have no idea how my boy got to this position but I was totally amazed by his juggling. He's such a naughty boy that don't afraid of anything!

Saturday at the artists festival

Saturday noon, getting ready to roll.. my eldest son appears at the local artists festival today.
we are packing his guitar, the camera, water bottles and some snacks for our little boy and off we go.... a perfect sunny day and we arrived to the festival. lots of people walking among the artist booths and in the main stage young artists getting ready to their signal to appear on stage.
My son and the band are next in line and the excitement going on. after four songs and encouraging applause comes to an end a wonderful day filled with excitement and weeks of rehearsals
